    What it does

Tactilus® allows the user to capture and record pressure conditions occurring in between any two contacting or impacting surfaces in real time. The paper-thin Tactilus® sensor is actually placed at the contact interface where it records and assimilates both pressure distribution and pressure magnitude on your Windows® based computer.

Tactilus® is a matrix-based tactile surface sensor — essentially an "electronic skin" that records and interprets pressure distribution and magnitude between any two contacting or mating surfaces and assimilates the collected data into a powerful Windows® based tool kit. Each Tactilus® sensor is carefully assembled to exacting tolerances and is individually calibrated and serialized.

    • Tactilus S-1024 is the top of the line seat pressure mapping sensor available in the Tactilus family of surface pressure mapping sensors - the standard for surface pressure mapping sensor systems for 29 years
    • Tactilus Seat pressure mapping sensors are manufactured using patented smart fabric that is stretchable, durable and highly conformable – providing high degrees of precision
    • Highly accurate body pressure mapping that provides pressure magnitude and distribution data in real time through 2D and 3D visual displays
    • Includes an advanced software solution that provides pinpoint tactile pressure analysis with video capabilities, data exports to CSV, and an API for integration to other software solutions
    • Connects using either a USB cable or via WiFi with no cables required

     Software Features

Tactilus® is a tool kit that consists of an electronic sensor element ("skin"), signal conditioning electronics and software. The sensor skin is a thin flexible or rigid sheet that is densely packed with sensing points or pixels. These sensing points can be spaced as close as 2 mm (0.08") apart and can collect data as rapidly as 1,000 readings per second.

    • 2D, 3D and 360 degree image rendering with extensive user control
    • Complete software library
    • Force integration and average pressure
    • Highly programmable report generator
    • Local point and region-of-interest (ROI) analysis
    • Max, minimum and average values
    • Pressure vs. time graph and pressure histogram
    • Sophisticated calibration control
    • Easily exportable data to Excel, ASCII or Access formats
