The EW-14 has real eye appeal. A sporty, angular design reflects the 15 MPH top speed. Speed and sportscar-like styling are just the surface. The 15” front and rear wheels give the scooter a 6.5” ground clearance which should get you over a wide variety of terrains. The 40-mile charge range gives you a scooter for at least a full day’s usage and probably more. The EW-14 has ample storage with a lockable under-seat storage compartment as well as a lockable rear locker. When you step away from your scooter you can feel safe by setting the alarm system. Then when you are ready to resume your ride, you can start the scooter remotely using its electronic key fob.

The striking style of the EW-14 sets it apart from most other scooters you will see, but there is much more to this fun machine. Safety is important when traveling at speeds of up to 15 MPH and distances of 40 miles on a single charge. 4 Large, 15” x 3” wheels provide secure stability and great ground clearance. The EW-14 has both front and rear drum brakes. You can have direct control over your stopping by utilizing the front and rear brake levers. A parking brake secures your scooter when stopped. Dual mirrors provide full views behind you. A twist throttle allows you to control the speed – there will be times you do not need to drive at 15 MPH. A full lighting package that includes turn signals, brake lights, rear light, and a high/low beam headlight ensures you will be seen and see everything on the path ahead.

The EW-14 still has more perks. An ample motorcycle-style seat that measures 23” in length and 14” in width provides positioning options while accentuating the sleek, sporty design of the scooter. Setting on the back seat provides great leg room for those on the taller side. A 12-degree incline climbing ability with a 6.5” ground clearance should get you over and through terrain most other scooters cannot. The front and rear wheels each measure 15” in diameter coupled with a front suspension fork and heavy-duty rear shocks provide a smooth ride. A speedometer and battery gauge provide all your necessary information. There are also 3 speed settings – low, medium, and high so you can tailor maximum MPH to your setting.

A-
Seat Depth

Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.

B-
Back Height

Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration.

C-
Hanger Angle

Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.

D-
Seat Width

Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.

E-
Front Seat to Floor

Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never footpropelled by the user - so excluding the additional two-inch footrest height for propelling is very rare.

Warranty Information
If the product you received is damaged or not what you expected it to be, and want to return the item, please submit a return request to our Customer Service department via email us at contact@buildmywheelchair.com for return instructions and to receive a return authorization number. All items must be returned in their original packaging, including any documentation, and must be in new, re-sellable condition. Any custom built item that is built to special specifications is ineligible for return. This includes but is not limited too; ultra lightweight wheelchairs, heavy duty wheelchairs, tilt and space wheelchairs, pediatric wheelchairs, outdoor/all terrain power wheelchairs, power elevating/recline/tilt power wheelchairs, rehab shower commode chairs, bathroom transfer systems, standing frames and gait trainers. For hygiene reasons, all seat cushions, back cushions, positioning components and any items that have been in “skin contact” are ineligible for return. Buildmywheelchair.com must be notified within 48 hours of delivery for any damage or request for return on any product eligible for return. Once notification of return has been completed, merchandise must be returned within 30 days of the receipt of order. No returns are accepted after 30 days. Returns will be reviewed and inspected before issuing credit. A restocking fee of 30% will apply to items eligible for return and will require approval from product manufacturer before credit or reimbursement. Shipping charges will be deducted from your refund if you have us assist in return shipping. Allow 2 to 4 weeks to process the credit and it will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
